It's a question we get all of the time, with a couple of different answers (and a bit of advice from past volunteers).

Find yourself near San Jose? Or La Fortuna? This swimming spot and thundering waterfall is just a taxi or bus ride away for those in the know.

After visiting more than 30 countries, I have a bit of advice I wish I knew before I embarked on my first international adventure. 

Be ready to be transported back in time when you explore the magical fairytale city of Mont Saint Michel. 

This sprawling National Park is full of dozens of waterfalls, lush mountains, and animals like elephants, monkeys, maybe an elusive tiger or two, and more. It just may be the off-the-beaten-path kind of adventure you need.
