It is kind of like Costa Rica has a monopoly on the world’s prettiest waterfalls … but out of them all, Nauyaca is one of our favorite spots for a hike and a swim.

Hang out in 15+ different thermal pools behind this canary-yellow backdrop and feel like you're in a movie ... could this place be any prettier? 

Okay, we’ve bragged long enough about the magic cities you can visit on the weekends, the hot springs hiding the mountains, turquoise waterfalls, and pretty beaches — it’s time that cenotes got the spotlight.

You may think the colorful cities found in this part of Mexico would be the highlight, but we cannot get enough of the hiking here. 

Haven't heard of it? Most people haven’t, but that’s exactly why it’s a favorite. Koh Yao Noi is an easy day trip from the busier spots you’re already visiting, so come skip the crowds and some have a secluded beach all to yourself.

I probably spent a couple of hundred dollars on ATM fees while traveling until switching my card. 

Uh oh, another place to visit ASAP. (But somehow, I don’t think you can be mad about another swoon-worthy island destination to hit up while you’re vacationing in Greece.)
