We know you love new countries to volunteer in! And we love it too — ILP has programs in countries all over the world and are always looking to continue growing. But how does that work, exactly?
Maybe you’ve heard a little bit about the ILP Program and it sounds great … but you’re not exactly sure what is actually means to volunteer abroad with us — and that’s okay. We’ve put together some more info on what you might be worried about so you can know what it takes.
If you didn’t know, ILP has Exchange Programs, Humanitarian Programs, and Hybrid Programs (a mix of both!). While they do have some similarities (all programs let you give back and make a difference!) there are some differences that can help you figure out what country and what program is going to be the best choice for you.
You made the decision to apply to spend next semester volunteering abroad and you're stoked! Have you talked to your parents yet?
International Language Programs has been around for over twenty years providing service opportunities for college aged volunteers to travel and experience another part of the world. But it's a little more than just a fun, life changing trip for people volunteering abroad.
ILP has helped thousands (seriously ... thousands) of volunteers travel and make a difference on their semester abroad — really, without volunteers, this program wouldn't be what it is! And because we care so much, we have mid-semester visits.
